  • José Alberto Zuccardi

    President

In 1976, José Alberto, the son of Zuccardi’s founder Tito and his wife Emma, joined the family company and in 1980 he was instrumental in the family decision of ensuring the vineyards were cultivated to produce high quality  grapes and in turn, the highest quality wines. The resulting project, Zuccardi Q, has become one of the winery’s best-known ranges, and the benchmark for Argentinian wine. In 2016 he was awarded the International Wine Challenge ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. In 2023 he was chosen “Legend of Argentinian wine” by Tim Atkin MW in his Annual Argentinian Report.

  • Sebastián Zuccardi

    Winemaker

Sebastián, José’s eldest son, joined the family business in 2002.  He began as an agriculturist seeking out premium sites to source higher quality grapes, and from the knowledge he accumulated, his ‘agronomista’ approach to winemaking was born. His focus continues to be on the individual site selection within his vineyards, working with the soil and the land to create wines with a sense of place.  Enigmatic and driven, he is one the faces of modern Argentinian winemaking and in 2019 was voted one of South America’s most exciting winemakers by Decanter.
