Mâcon-Villages 2022 6x75cl

A classic Mâcon-Villages from mainly limestone vineyards, aged on its fine lees for 6-8 months. Lively and charming with floral and fruity characters, with notes of lemon fruit on the finish.

Vineyards

The wine-producing soil of Mâconnais is mainly soft limestone over layers of marl, loam and broken pebbles.

Vintage

The 2022 Beaujolais vintage was small but excellent. A cold, dry winter and frost in April, but warm May ensured successful flowering and fruit set.

Winemaking

The grapes are crushed and pressed to extract the must, followed by low temperature-controlled fermentation. Ageing on the lees for 6-8 months prior to bottling.
