Vineyards

Altered pink granite with sand and stones, South facing exposure. Selection of old vines plots, 50 years old on average.

Vintage

The weather conditions in 2023 were challenging. There were heat waves, thunderstorms, hailstorms, and even a small tornado before the harvest. Although the grapes were healthy, they varied due to the weather. Despite some challenges, a bit of rain and fluctuating temperatures brought relief. The diverse grapes will make this vintage rich and unique.

Winemaking

The traditional approach to harvesting involves carrying whole bunches in small trays to preserve the berries. Everything is done to enhance the expression of Gamay and respect the purity of the fruit from this beautiful granite terroir. This is a no-added sulphite wine from harvest to bottling.
