A rich and flavoursome Shiraz displays all the varietal hallmarks: vibrant red fruits, dark plum and spice with underlying soft tannins.

Vineyards

Containing some of the higher, cooler vineyard sites in the state, the Central Ranges is an important, recently designated wine-growing zone. It is sometimes better known for the regions it comprises: running north to south along the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range (and in descending order of size): Mudgee, Orange and Cowra. Part of the grapes is sourced from South Australia.

Vintage

The 2022 vintage in Australia was regarded as excellent. The year experienced warm and dry conditions, with occasional rainfall. This benefited various grape varieties, particularly Shiraz.

Winemaking

Traditional red wine vinification in stainless steel tanks to retain as much fruit flavour profile as possible.
