Viña Real Bakeder 2019 6x75cl
Cherry red, violet nose, intense, tense, youthful. Aromatic, fresh red fruit, some liquorice. A complex wine with great ageing potential. It expresses the terroir from Laguardia, Rioja Alavesa.
Vineyards
A selection from our own two vineyards in Laguardia, San Gines and Castejones. Total size of these vineyards is 8.78 ha.Average vineyard age is about 30years. Elevation is between 550 - 600ms. Soils are mostly clay and limestone.
Vintage
Harvest started at Vina Real on September 23rd and finished on October 12th, slightly ahead of average. Healthy wines due to the good weather throughout the growing season. Low yield due to the high variations in temperature and rain between flowering and fruit set. Bunches were smaller, loose, not compact. A very healthy harvest, excellent in quality, smaller in quantity.
Winemaking
Temperature controlled in small stainless steel vats for 18 days. Malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks. Aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, clarified and bottled.
