Get in the Frame and become Food Photography Famous!

Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2018 opens the shutter for its seventh year on 5 July 2017.

To celebrate, the Awards are serving up a delicious feast of seven new judges and exciting new categories too.

New jurists are Ferran Adria, iconic chef of the oft-voted world’s best restaurant, El Bulli, Jenna Close, American Society of Media Photographers, Henry Dallal, Photographer, Sheila Dillon, The Food Programme, BBC Radio 4, Pierre Koffman, legendary 3-Michelin starred chef, Alison Morley, Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism, International Center of Photography, H.E. Ali Bin Thalith, Secretary General, HIPA.

To spice up the process, David Loftus, hugely influential and respected food photographer, is to be Chair of the Judges, while categories include for the very first time, Student Food Photographer of the Year to facilitate the next generation.

“It just gets better and better each year – from Austria to Australia, Kuala Lumpur to Kent, the standard of entries is exceptional,” says founder and Director, Caroline Kenyon.

It’s so exciting to see the amount of recognition our winners receive in the media across the world. Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year Category

The Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year competition – the wine-only category of the Pink Lady Food Photography of the Year 2018 awards – is now also open for entries.

Magui Chadwick, daughter of Errazuriz President and Owner, Eduardo Chadwick has been added to the line- up of judges charged with identifying the best shots of People, Product and Places, associated with the art of winemaking

Magui Chadwick comments, ‘I’m thrilled to join the fantastic team of people judging this category – there is so much enthusiasm around wine photography, not only in the UK but around the world and it’s an honour to be part of this. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the images that are sent in this year.’

The winner of the Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year will receive £1,000 and a magnum of Don Maximiano Founder’s Reserve, signed by Eduardo Chadwick, while the overall winner across all competition categories will receive £5,000.

Food for Celebration Category

Champagne Taittinger is delighted to be the celebratory toast for Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2018 and also sponsor of Food for Celebration. Taittinger is one of the few major Champagne Houses to be owned and actively managed by the family named on the label. In 2018, Marketing Director Vitalie Taittinger has once again been invited to join the judging panel for the Food for Celebration category. Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year competition, now it its fourth year, is an international celebration and the world’s leading awards recognising the art and diversity of food photography.

The competition is open to professionals and amateurs alike, across the world, and the winners will be announced on Tuesday 24 April 2018 at a VIP reception at the Mall Galleries, London.
