Following the news in 2023 of Western Australia’s Cherubino joining the Hatch Mansfield portfolio, a new partnership has been agreed between Hatch Mansfield, as Cherubino’s UK importer, and Bibendum, as the exclusive On-trade wholesaler.
Wines from Cherubino’s Apostrophe, Ad Hoc, Pedestal, Laissez Faire, Uovo and Cherubino labels were showcased at Bibendum’s “Through the looking glass” portfolio tasting in London on 27th February. The tasting marks the start of the distribution agreement, with Cherubino wines now available to order from Bibendum to deliver everywhere in the UK except for Scotland where this will be possible from April.
Off-trade distribution remains direct via Hatch Mansfield so Independent Wine Merchants should continue to contact their usual Hatch Mansfield account handler.
Larry Cherubino commented “We love to introduce consumers to the wines from our corner of the world so I’m delighted to have Bibendum on board to help us to bring our wines to new audiences in the UK. I have known Simon Jerome for a number of years, and I’m thrilled to have him working with our wines.”
Larry’s excitement was echoed by Patrick McGrath MW, Hatch Mansfield CEO “Hatch Mansfield and Bibendum have a very strong relationship and therefore when it came to appointing an on-trade agent, Bibendum were naturally our first choice”.
Simon Jerrome, Head of Wine Buying for Bibendum adds; “I am thrilled that Larry and the Cherubino team have entrusted Bibendum to drive distribution of his fantastic wines in the UK On Trade. This multi-award-winning winery is a true star of Western Australia, with a focus on subregional wines from Margaret River, Pemberton and Frankland River.”
