Sam Skehan

Sam studied at Newcastle University, after which he spent 15 months travelling in Australia and South-East Asia. Starting his career in the alcohol industry in 2012, Sam joined UK distributor Cellar Trends to work with their spirits portfolio in the on trade, before moving to a newly formed UK subsidiary of German spirit brand Jägermeister in 2014. Sam took the opportunity to make his passion for wine vocational, joining Concha y Toro in late 2015. There he specialised in the off trade, with grocery and convenience customers in particular. In 2024 Sam moved to Hatch to progress his career in the wine industry.

Outside of work Sam’s time is dominated by family and football – not always in that order.
