9th April 2018 – As proud supporters of the Arts, Champagne Taittinger is thrilled to announce its partnership as official Champagne partner to the Olivier Awards 2018.
Established in 1976, the Olivier Awards celebrate the world-class status of London theatre and are Britain’s most prestigious stage honours. Last night, the best of the theatre stage came out to raise a glass to the winners of the Olivier Awards 2018 with Mastercard. Catherine Tate hosted the 42nd Awards Ceremony which took place at the Royal Albert Hall.
The lauded Lin-Manuel Miranda musical Hamilton led the way at the Olivier Awards 2018 with Mastercard ceremony, collecting seven awards from its record-breaking thirteen nominations.
Elsewhere, The Old Vic’s Girl From The North Country saw Shirley Henderson and Sheila Atim win Best Actress in a Musical and Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical respectively. For full details of the winners please visit OlivierAwards.com
As part of the new partnership, the classic Champagne Taittinger Brut Réserve NV was served from magnums backstage and during the afterparty which this year took place at the Natural History Museum. A Methuselah of Taittinger was also signed by artists backstage and will be auctioned off for charity by the Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre.
