On Friday 31st July, the winners for this year’s Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards were announced, celebrating the very best programmes and performances of 2019.
The annual ceremony was hosted by Richard Ayoade, with the winners accepting their awards virtually as the announcements were broadcast live from Television Centre, London. The revered occasion once again applauded established and up and coming talent involved in the best of British television from drama, comedy, soaps and documentaries, fact and fiction.
Some of the brightest stars of the small screen took a socially-distanced moment to raise funds on behalf of BAFTA. Celebrities including Himesh Patel signed a special Jeroboam of Brut Réserve NV from official BAFTA partner, Champagne Taittinger, which will be auctioned at a fundraising event.
