Camilla Easby's pick
Prélude Grands Crus NV 6x75cl
An absolute winner, I love the Prélude Grands Crus. It is the most wonderfully smooth blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, and the extra ageing on lees brings an added complexity making it an absolute joy to drink. As a staple in my fridge door, it is an extra special apéritif Champagne or equally delicious with food – one for any occasion. In my mind this is a ‘mini’ Comtes, with only 100% Grands Crus vineyards used, it has great finesse and delicacy, yet it is bursting with character too. Snap this one up, it is a cracker!
