Jean-Luc Colombo 2012 Vintage Report

A really cold winter in early 2012 provoked a late bud break, initial thoughts were that we would harvest late in the season in Cornas and even more so in the Rhône Valley. Fortunately the vines were still dormant in Cornas and didn't therefore suffer from the frost.

The harvest is one of promise with well balanced wines with enough oxygen to express themselves to the full and enough power to gently absorb the oaking process.

Another 'Grand Annee'. A severe winter was followed by late budding in the spring, a hot dry July and a cooler August. September arrived with sunny days and cool nights. Wines from this vintage show complexity but overall excellent balance.

Jean-Luc Colombo 2009 Vintage Report

A great vintage in the Northern Rhône. Perfect growing conditions producing high quality fruit. Some winegrowers and winelovers are already comparing it to the unique 1990 vintage.

Jean-Luc Colombo 2008 Vintage Report

From spring to the beginning of the harvest, we had a worrying time as a result of tough climate conditions. This vintage required patience courage and difficult decisions. Harvest eventually finished in October. A vintage of good surprises for those who managed the vineyards meticulously and underwent careful vinification

Jean-Luc Colombo 2007 Vintage Report

The 2007 vintage was marked by climatic variations. An early blooming was due to a really hot spring especially during the month of April. This was slowing down by a difficult summer season but September arrived bringing good conditions and finally gave us a very good vintage
